The Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) in Gaza hosted a pivotal conference on gender-based violence under the project “Reducing GBV Among Women and Girls in Gaza”, funded by Trócaire. Director Amal Syam denounced all forms of violence—whether domestic, economic, legal, or political—and urged the adoption of stronger protections for women in Palestinian law.
Local and international entities showcased collaborative interventions in legal aid, psychosocial support, outreach, and youth engagement. Participants emphasized long-term programs, national reconciliation, and institutional alliances as keys to dismantling systemic violence.
