Amal Syam, General Supervisor of Al-Ghaidaa Magazine and Director of the Women’s Affairs Center in Gaza, reflected on the quarterly publication’s milestone 50th issue. Established in 1997 and dedicated to women’s and social issues, Al-Ghaidaa has become a pioneering platform in feminist journalism, amplifying Palestinian women’s voices through investigative reports, personal stories, and visual narratives.
Syam emphasized the magazine’s role in raising awareness and challenging taboos around women’s rights, calling its journey “a success and a source of pride.” She underlined ambitions to expand beyond Gaza and transition from a quarterly to a monthly publication.
